Hang on, you say – thought this was your rambling music blog. Well, I did say mostly music, it also covers other things, possibly rambling too.
A couple of days ago I bought some apples in a local deli – and wow they were tasty. Meet the Ribstone Pippin.

And as you can see in the photo, rub them on a woolly jumper and they stick to the wall thanks to static electricity.*
It tasted a bit like a cross between a russett and a cox. When I looked it up on Wikipedia, like you do, turns out it was grown in 1708 from three pips brought over from France. Funny, tasted fresher than that.
