The Focusrite VRM box is a great bit of kit for when you’re out and about and need to do some mixing – it lets you simulate different rooms and speakers through your headphones.
The problem is, it isn’t officially supported with Yosemite and Focusrite have abandoned providing updates for each new Mac OSX release. The other problem is that Apple are insisting on Yosemite in order to install an update for something else I use. Tricky.
So – I borrowed a Macbook with Yosemite on it, installed the 1.4 Focusrite VRM software, restarted and plugged the VRM box in. It works. Obviously your experience may be different – but it works for me – including the control panel.

I’m now reasonably confident I can move to Yosemite from Mavericks, despite not particularly wanting to.
